Clan members duties:
A) Mainly respect the D2Haven gateway Terms of Service (TOS):
This gateway is free and we profit in no way from it. We have established the following rules to provide an enjoyable place for you to play. All server and game server space is donated, please help us maintain this by following this TOS. mixed-smiley-009.gif. These rules are strictly enforced, if you fail to read or understand them, or if you fail to follow them, any administrative action taken against you is no fault but your own.
1:
This realm is a restricted access realm; being allowed to play here is a privilege, not a right. You are expected to treat every player and realm admin with respect. We will not tolerate harassment or abuse in any manner. This includes verbally abusing anyone, continually joining another person’s game to bother them, or any other type of abusive behavior.
1A:
This is a family friendly realm. We ask that you avoid offensive language, this includes but is not limited to, account names, character names, game names, and chat. We reserve the right to censure any language we deem to be offensive. Please respect this.
1B:
We have junior players on our realm, these are the children of our realm players. Players age 14 and under are denoted by a –JR tag on their account name and player name. If you interact with players with the –JR tag please act accordingly.
1C:
If you are getting harassed in any way please contact a realm admin at one of the emails listed below, include what happened, and the persons account name. A screenshot will also help. Administrative action will be taken if needed.
1D:
If you get an account on the D2 Haven gateway, you will be held responsible for any actions performed by anyone using that account. You should NEVER let anyone else access D2 Haven gateway with your account. You should NEVER give anyone else your account password. If you get your account banned because you gave someone else your account, well you shouldn't have done that and your gone.
2:
Game passwords have been disabled, we do request however that you respect other players wishes. If you join a game and the person in there asks you to leave, or not enter a certain area, you are required to do so. You are free to create your own game. At the same time, we ask you to always be considerate when making requests of other players. Requests should also be reasonable, if you allow a person in your game, and they exhibit behavior that you do not wish to have in your game, POLITELY ask them to correct this. Always be mindful of section 1
2A:
Due to game passwords being disabled, we transfer items in open games. This means you will often
enter a game and see items on the ground, they are NOT free for the taking. ANY type of item theft is prohibited.
DO NOT pickup anything without permission of the owner, this includes “just looking”.
Drop stealing is also prohibited you are only allowed to take drops from your own kills.
You MUST ask permission before picking up any item that does not belong to you.
3:
We allow the use of certain third party programs or “hacks”. Only the programs listed are allowed, if you wish to use another program contact a realm admin at the email listed below.
3A: Approved programs
Map hack - for Zy-El map hack is limited to versions 4.3f,4.4,4.7j only
Hard Core hack
Pickit or grabit - to be used for you own drops only, must have party consent
Color hack
D2Loader - to be used within reason. If it causes resource problems we will remove it
3B: Special rules concerning pickit / grabit.
These programs can be used ONLY with party consent, they are not to be used to steal drops. If you are asked not to use them you must either turn them off or leave the game. If you host the game you are free to use them.
4:
Exploitation of bugs in any game is not allowed. This includes but is not limited to, duping, ith creation, and creating lag to get a roll back.
5:
Legitimate PvP is allowed. PK is NOT allowed. What does this mean? In order for PvP to occur both parties must agree to duel. You are not allowed to hostile another player unless they agree to a hostile first. Do not hostile a party, if you choose to duel make sure you are not partied with anyone else first, unless the entire party agrees to a hostile. If both parties to the duel agree to a duel, then you must keep it clean. No town guarding. No 3rd party programs are to be used during a duel, with the exception of maphack. Any type of cheap (I.E. waypoint Hydra’s ) dueling is prohibited. Note there is a specific set of rules that apply to open dueling, those must be taken into consideration when dueling open.

In regards to leaching experience the following rules apply. When you enter a game where other players are doing the killing for you, you are defined as a leaching. If you can’t take on the monsters in an area with out assistance, you are defined as leaching. When you are defined as leaching you are not allowed to leave the portal or entrance area to a level without asking permission from those doing the killing. If they say no you must respect their wishes and remain at the entrance area. There are specific rules for certain mods in the Mod specific section below. (Note this does not override section 2)
7:
Playing Hard Core means you run the risk of permanent death. If you die on hard core we will NOT bring back your character, not for ANY reason including “Bugs”. If you can’t accept this do not play hard core.
8:
This is a game, it is played on a computer, over the internet. As such there are certain risks inherently associated with such play. Lag happens, Connection Interrupted happens, other unforeseen events (including accidentally cubing your jewel you spent 20 hours crafting) can cause any number of problems, including item loss. We are sorry if you experience item loss, we feel your pain. We will NOT, however roll back your character, or account to get your items back for you.
9:
Certain Diablo 2 mods allow you to vastly change the parameters of your items. Please use common sense when doing so. Every item can take only a certain number of attributes before becoming corrupt. We place a limit of 25 attribute lines on each item. Also you may have no more than 12 items with more than 10 attribute lines on a character. You are also requested to “Mule” Items on a regular basis. Do not have a “Play” character with an inventory full of 1x1 or 1x2 items. If your character is associated with game problems and/or we find you in violation of this rule, the LEAST action taken will be deletion of the item. We may just start deleting whole characters as a first step as this has been a major issue.

If you consider someone in violation of this TOS, please ask them politely to comply. If they refuse, or continue to violate the rules, do not argue with them. Just inform an admin. You can either whisper an admin or use one of the emails below. Screen shots are always useful. All reports of violations are taken seriously, and may lead to administrative action. Threats to someone that you "will have them banned" are NOT appropriate, and such threats may result in the person making the threats getting banned. NO ONE but the 4 gateway administrators listed at the bottom of this T.O.S has the power to ban. Anyone caught impersonating an admin, or threatening to use connections they may or may not have with an admin will be dealt with appropriately.
11:
We are recieving to many requests for account name changes, this causes more work for us, and it has become unreasonable. The following will now apply to account names. Account names that have closed characters associated with them will not be changed. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Open account's that have no closed characters associated with them will be allowed to change their account name once every 3 months.
12:
If any thing listed or not listed in this TOS causes problems, it will be addressed and the TOS updated.
13:
We reserve the right to change or update this TOS at any time. It is your responsibility to make sure you comply with the current version of this TOS.
14:
Any attack on the server or host computers will result in SEVERE administrative action. Legal action will be taken where appropriate.
15:
This is a free gateway, all equipment, and time is donated. Please respect this and do not ruin what we have created here.
16:
In no way are we affiliated with Blizzard or Battle.net.
17:
These rules are strictly enforced. Violating these rules will result in administrative action. This can range from a warning up to and including a permanent ban from the server and deletion of any existing accounts. Legal proceedings will be pursued where appropriate.
Subsection, Realm specific rules.
Zy-El Realm.
The Zy-El 3.8 realm currently runs mpq version 3.8 and 3.6 DLLs. You must have these and only
these versions installed to play.
The Zy-El 3.5 realm currently runs mpq version 3.5 and 3.0 DLLs. You need these to play on this realm.
Gladiators Arena uses the original 109d version of D2LOD
Apocalypse uses version 1.10 of D2LOD

Maphack, only versions 4.3f-4.4 and 4.7J are compatible with Zyel.
2:Levels required to be considered a non-leacher for the various levels. (Note, even if you exceed these levels, the creator of the game can still use section 2 and ask you to remain at the portal)

HARDCORE rules of the CZyEl clan
"Hardcore" should be a check of the players qualities, also knowledge of the recipes, monsters and items in Zy-El, as same as check of his abilities and play skills etc. So we want our players to take an exam, it is a general test of the player and his character. The biggest task for everyone is to make such character that its Gold Find will allow him to reach and craft the best equipment for final usage and also that this char will be able to fight and kill in the areas where he can find best monsters. This sequence of the game (begining -> unlimited crafting), because its real HC in Zy-El, was frequently bypassed by players in many ways... So when we want HC to be HC once again we have to respect some basic rules, before the characters take a HC exam...
1.
No rushes. (strong characters makes way to weak one in a few min through all diff.) Forbbiden on all difficulties - Normal, Nightmare and Hell.
2.
No leeching (gaining experience in the corner of the map, when others are killing easilly)
3.
Weak character can not obtain super items from stronger characters. (exceptions will be described further in the text)
4.
Weak character can not obtain money, fight for it yourselves... (exceptions will be described further in the text)
5.
Weak char cant go to hard areas where were strong one before him and collect items... (there can be one game where are playing weak chars and "after-exams", but the weak one cant go to insanity levels to collect "easy money")
6.
Even your character who already have an exam cant help to your noob character...
So the next conditions to be successful this exam are:
1.
Finishing Normal difficulty. (without help of characters after exam)
2.
Clear one of the insanity levels OtO or WoW with 2 players in the game - second player will be the referee (he can also collect body...). This time we have 2 characters who can do the referee: 1) Kalisko - Assassin, Frio_Lazzlo acc, 2) Azyelka - Amazon, acc Jack_Nipper (there will be more of them later). The referee will look on the items of the character who wants to take the exam, with MH and rest putting in trade screen for example.. Than they will follow you in the insane run and watch as you are killing (without party). As soon as the referee will say that your character has passed the exam, it will be marked in the clan forums in THIS topic, it will be also marked on my forums on forums.jacknipper.cz in czech. So when you got this exam you can use these otions:
A.
Craft equipment (which you gave him) by stronger character (because he can have more money in stash), no matter whos money is that, because its only matter of time, go to insanity level with one of these afer-exam chars and make some money...
B.
You can trade items or give or take money as you will from other characters who has finished the exam.
Condition for crafting by other characters:
Items have to be given to that crafting character, it should prevent paralel preparing of the items for some character, because we also want that each character have its own gear, it means when you do the exam than you can continue crafting your gear or make new one, but not accept some items already crafted before...
Exceptions for helping to the starting characters before exam.
1.
We can make sockets into basic items for these chars (for example make 3 sockets into hunters bow etc.)
2.
We can give up to 800 000 gold to the starting character. You can give them for example a minor poster if they finish some quest for you (I give to everyone who brings me 25 minor poster fragments 1 minor poster) And we can think about other quests for them.
3.
We can bring them some basic items (not anyhow crafted - with added attributes) It can be some basic uniques or set items we have on our mules. But remember - not overpowered.... Zy-El artifacts and other strong uniques can not be given to them of course...
4.
If a game is created by a starting char, please respect his wishes about leaving game, moving to another act or whatever...sometimes its too hard for them...and they need respect of stronger characters...
5.
We can make an TP to expshrine for them.
6.
Starting characters can of course cooperate their efforts and walk through normal in party, but beware of clvl difference, we dont want this difference to be more than 20 clvls, otherwise its leeching exps by weaker character!
We came up with this rules to make HC really hard to play, not to let HC be just piece of cake for everyone who enters HC, without any risking... We can do whatever we want on SC, means testing, rushing, helping...
I would appreciate when clan members follow these rules. We will not be watching over there in games like watchdogs, we bank on our honour. Breaking the rules means for that character not to be included in special hall of fame when it reaches 5000 lvl. I also hope that the rules will incease qualities of the players, makes players to know this awesome mod and makes HC something what we can be really proud on.
If someone out of our clan want to follow the rules I would be glad, let me know. If someone dont want to follow, pls remeber we are not giving any help for starting characters on HC.
